Synopsis: "Lincoln tries to get his sled back."
The Loud House has done well in an eleven minute format. However, a twenty two minute special has more room to show how great it is. The fact it's both a Christmas episode and the season 2 premiere (in production order) are bonus points that add to its greatness. The episode takes place on the day before Christmas, with Lincoln trying out his sled. However, it accidentally lands in the yard of Mr. Grouse, who's a grump, and won't give it back. Now it's a race against the clock to get the sled back. I think we can call this episode a "Defrosting The Ice King" story, no pun intended. Mr. Grouse may be a grouch, but the light that's shed on his background here not only makes genuinely sympathetic, but it also makes him an interesting older counterpart to Lincoln. Being a Christmas special, it's naturally sentimental. With a plot like this here, there's naturally plenty comedy coming from the sisters' eccentric behavior. It's all wrapped up in a nice little moral all about giving to others to make them and yourself feel great. This one is definitely a winner.
