Description
Writer: Michael Ryan
Director: Giancarlo Volpe
Date: January 21, 2014
Synopsis: "Lex Luthor wants revenge on The Justice League."
One of the best things about the Justice League is about they can focus on both the league and certain characters at the same time, like right here. The plot involves two 31st century teenagers named Karate Kid and Dawnstar accidentally freeing Lex Luthor from his containment unit. He travels back to the 21st century with the help of Time Trapper in order to get revenge on The Justice League since they trapped him there in the last battle, and now Karate Kid and Dawnstar must help the league. The Justice League's importance is definitely felt, but I feel the best character is Karate Kid. He's brash and arrogant, but you can tell his heart is in the right place since he has a sense of justice and a boyish charm. Plus, he caused the conflict by accident and not with any sort of major stupidity, so he's quite easy to sympathize with. This movie definitely feels like a lot of fun with all the action and time travel suspense, and the humor we get never strays from the more serious tone. It delivers an effective moral on overcoming arrogance and using your heart and mind to help take down your enemies while also settings things up quite nicely. Now that's what I call a pretty good movie.
Here is the cast for the movie.
Diedrich Bader as Batman
Laura Bailey as Dawnstar
Dante Basco as Karate Kid
Corey Burton as Time Trapper, Captain Cold
Grey DeLisle-Griffin as Wonder Woman, Superbaby
Peter Jessop as Superman
